We work with you to get an idea of where you’re at and where you’re going. This allows us to pick the right tool for the job.
These tools can vary from an Excel spreadsheet to an Access database all the way to a custom web based solution with a SQL backend. We specialize
in building Excel front ends with SQL backends using vba. This provides an incredibly powerful toolset that can be built on and supported more easily.
After the plan is developed the build process can begin.
This first requires examining the data sources being received. Then determining what, if any, special formatting is
required, and determining the various relationships and mapping that may be required. Finally, the database can be built
that will store all of the data.
For a data analytics project this is one of the most critical steps. There’s a handful of things we look at in this
step, among them are the file sizes, the frequency they are available or delivered, how the data will be imported and how much
normalization may need to be done. If this step isn’t planned or executed correctly it will affect the reporting.
